Welcome to the site for Barge Anthonia, our home here in France for the past five years.

From 2009 we will be stepping away from formal barge chartering and  continuing  our dream of cruising at leisure the wonderful and very extensive waterways of France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

For the forseeable future we will maintain this site... perhaps some of our gathered information and experiences may prove useful to future travellers.

We hope to add anecdotes and pearls of wisdom as they arise.

Malcolm's book, 'From Mozart to the Med' chronicles our voyage away from a busy working life in the UK. It may appeal to fellow dreamers.
